We're currently hiring a Mill Operator to support operations at our Wasleys Feed Mill facility.
Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):
* To co-ordinate and / or supervise the operation of the Pelleting Mill, Hammermill and grinding processes in accordance with the Sites Operational Procedures,
* Managing the out-loading process to ensure correct feeds / orders are sent to correct farms / customers,
* Ensure that production is monitored and controlled and the finished product has been manufactured according to Baiada standards,
* That all feed is correctly and efficiently manufactured and that corrective and preventative measures are implemented as required,
* Any other reasonable duties, as required, commensurate with the role.
* Ensure all aspects of the manufacturing process are planned and executed within the acceptable tolerances and to site targets,
* Accurate inventory reconciliation and reporting to site management,
* Participate in mill hygiene activities as required,
* Ensure at all times that the plant and equipment meet specified standards is in safe working conditions,
* All QA finish feed testing requirements including checking pellet size are completed against site requirements,
* Staff and workplace issues are reported to the Site Manager or delegate when they occur focusing on continual improvement.
* Any other responsibilities and/or Authorities as specifically designated by Site Manager or Delegate.
* Ensure all Baiada Safety, Quality, work instructions, SOP's and environmental standards are adhered to.
* Assist the business to improve in the areas of safety, environment, quality and compliance.
* Ensure all relevant safety, environment, quality and compliance requirements are being followed.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Sound knowledge of OH&S and Environmental Policies and Legislation.
* Current Drivers and Forklift licence.
* Sound computing skills. Able to work in Office and other operational programs.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Effective communication skills.
* Relevant tickets to perform tasks
* Identify and report non-conformances
* Enforce safety rules
* 5+years Industry Experience (History working with manufacturing)
* BI boiler licence and forklift licence (HRW) preferred but not essential
