About the role
In a training capacity, you will contribute to the provision of Intensive Care Services within the objectives and philosophies of The Royal Adelaide Hospital or The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and the College of Intensive Care Medicine. You will also have a commitment to clinical teaching and research portfolios. Working under the supervision of a Consultant on a daily basis, you will provide a professional clinical service to hospital patients. Ensuring a patient-focused approach in the delivery of clinical care, you will work within a multidisciplinary team including nursing, allied health, other clinical support specialities and administrative staff. The new Royal Adelaide Hospital is the largest hospital in South Australia, providing world class health care and facilities. The most advanced hospital in Australia, the new RAH is the cornerstone of the reformed SA Health system. The Queen Elizabeth Hospital is one of South Australia's leading acute referral, teaching and research centres affiliated with the University of Adelaide and the University of South Australia with professorial chairs in Surgery, Medicine, Renal, Gastroenterology, Anaesthesia and Cardiology.
Holding a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery or equivalent, you will be eligible to be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and have two years postgraduate experience in clinical practice. You will also have prior experience and training in resuscitation, and bring the ability to maintain optimal communication with a multidisciplinary team during complex and stressful situations.
