About the role
As the first point of contact for our community, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and welcoming experience for every customer - whether they contact us in person, by phone, or online.
This varied role will see you:
* Provide accurate information and support to customers across a range of Council services.
* Manage customer enquiries, applications and payments efficiently and professionally.
* Deliver high-quality service in line with Council's Customer Service Charter.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive, team-focused culture.
You will gain a strong understanding of Council's activities and projects and have the opportunity to make a real difference in how our community experiences our services.
About you
You are a confident communicator with a natural ability to engage with people from all walks of life. You will bring:
* Experience in customer service or administration, ideally in a busy front-line environment.
* Strong computer skills, including the ability to manage transactions and digital records accurately.
* A professional and empathetic approach to problem-solving.
* Great attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
* The ability to stay calm and positive under pressure.
A Certificate III in Customer Service, Business Administration (or equivalent experience) is desirable, as is prior experience in local government - but what matters most is your passion for delivering exceptional service.
