The Department of Corporate and Digital Development (DCDD) is a comprehensive, sophisticated central corporate services agency that undertakes a unified enterprise-wide approach to delivering corporate and digital services to Northern Territory Government (NTG) agencies.

DCDD's Agency Procurement Services provides centralised procurement advisory and support services in accordance with their Service Statement, NTG Procurement Framework and Buy Local Policy. Services include advice and support in the preparation of tender and contract documentation, procurement assessments, contract award and contract management advice.

Currently, there are several vacancies for Procurement Officers (AO5) and Procurement Advisors (AO6) in the Darwin team. Applicants will be evaluated against each level and offers of employment will be made based on the successful applicant's experience and expertise.

As a Procurement Officer (AO5), your role will involve providing customer focussed procurement assistance and advice to client agencies to enable them to make informed decisions in accordance with procurement principles while ensuring compliance with the NTG Procurement Framework.

Your key duties include:

* Preparing procurement tender and quotation documents
* Providing accurate contract administration services
* Assisting in developing reports and briefings to support agency procurement activities.

As a Procurement Advisor (AO6), you will advise and assist client agencies in making informed decision on sound procurement principles whilst ensuring compliance with the NTG Procurement Framework.

Your key duties include:

* Providing operational support, guidance and advice to key stakeholders on procurement function
* Preparing procurement tender and quotation documents with technical specifications and evaluation reports.

Both roles require a sound understanding of procurement policy and legislation, with demonstrated experience of procurement management principles or transferable skills in areas such as Project Management or Human Resources. Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiating skills are essential for success.

Completion or progress towards completion of a Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting or relevant qualifications will be well received.
