Job Summary
The Budget Analyst is responsible for analyzing budget forecasts and proposals, contributing to the prospective process. This role involves consulting on budget development and performing budgetary control throughout the year.
The incumbent advises and assists managers and directors in developing, implementing, and monitoring their budgets. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting, as well as professional accounting designation (CPA) which would be an asset. A minimum of five years' experience in financial accounting is required, along with experience in developing and implementing budgets and applying best practices in financial management.
Key qualifications include the ability to understand and set organizational priorities, manage numerous projects/tasks simultaneously, possess strong analytical skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Additionally, the successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, maintain good previous work history, and adhere to professional ethics principles.
