About This Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, organised and experienced Senior Research Assistant, with expertise in implementation science, to join the UQ ULTRA Implementation Science Team. As part of this team, you will gain valuable experience working within a collaborative and supportive research environment developing implementation science expertise at UQ.
In this role, you will provide a high level of research, administrative and project management support and assistance to the UQ ULTRA Principal Research Fellow in Implementation Science, A/Prof Ingrid Hickman, to deliver high quality research outcomes and the efficient operation of the Implementation Science Research Program.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Program & Project Management: Provide high-level administrative, governance, and project management support for the UQ ULTRA Implementation Science Program, including coordination of deliverables, reporting, meetings, events, stakeholder engagement, and compliance with university policies.
* Research & Knowledge Translation Support: Support study design, data collection and analysis (qualitative and quantitative), literature reviews, and the preparation of protocols, publications, ethics applications, and grant submissions, as well as develop resources and tools to support implementation science uptake.
* Collaboration, Communication & Capability Building: Manage communications and information requests, support committees and secretariat functions, coordinate onboarding and training, build research partnerships and networks, and contribute to a collaborative, respectful, and culturally safe research environment.
About You
We are looking for candidates with superior interpersonal, communication and stakeholder engagement skills as well as the ability to prioritise their own workload and work independently to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You will be working as part of a growing high-performing team, with opportunities for professional development and growth.
You will possess:
* A health services, clinical, public health or implementation research related degree with subsequent relevant experience in implementation science, randomised controlled trials and/or health services research or research translation.
* Demonstrated experience providing professional support services to senior staff.
* Ability to conduct and analyse qualitative and quantitative data.
* Able to engage professionally across research collaborations, showing integrity, diplomacy, confidentiality and sensitivity in communicating with a wide range of collaborators including clinicians, community members and researchers.
* Knowledge of ethical conduct in human research, HREC processes, research governance and data privacy legislation.
* High-level judgement in planning, design, problem-solving and management of multiple activities and the ability to deal effectively with competing deadlines and escalate issues where required.
* Highly motivated with strengths in communication (oral and written), with proven ability to prepare infographics, resources, tools, reports, funding submissions, and general correspondence.
* Strong organisational and time management abilities.
