We're seeking a motivated Function/Events Assistant to join our vibrant team at Dubbo RSL Club Group. In this role, you will support the planning, coordination and delivery of a diverse range of events and functions, helping to create memorable experiences for our members and guests.
You will work a mixture of office hours (with flexibility available) and will need to be available for some occasional weekend work to assist with large events.
This is a part-time or full-time position based in Dubbo.
Responsibilities
* Assisting with the planning and coordination of events and functions
* Supporting the preparation of event schedules, run sheets and supplier communications
* Liaising with internal departments to ensure smooth event delivery
* Assisting with event marketing and promotional activities
* Providing on-site support during events and helping resolve any issues that arise
* Building positive relationships with suppliers, vendors and guests
Qualifications
* Previous experience in hospitality, events, administration or a related field (desirable but not essential)
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
* Creative flair and a passion for event styling and decorating
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn event management systems
* Current RSA certification (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
* Valid Australian driver's licence for occasional travel between venues
