The Kitchen Hand will contribute to the achievement of the Warrior Restaurant by assisting in the preparation, and cooking of food, as well as ensuring stock is received, accounted for and stored on arrival in accordance with company procedures and that of Workplace Health and Safety standards.
To be successful in this role, you must have a demonstrated ability to work safely within a kitchen, have demonstrated knowledge of the hospitality industry and be a keen learner.
**Duties Include**:
- Working efficiently and cooperatively with others, establishing and maintaining good working relationships.
- Anticipating and meeting customer's needs (internal and external) giving priority to customer satisfaction.

- Using communication books to transfer information, relevant details and follow ups.
- Advising Supervisor of any situation that may need attention or decision making.
- Maintain appropriate and professional communication on radio.
- Communicate with and support staff and other departments.
- Ensure preparation is up to date for days off.
- Effectively handling customer concerns and escalating concerns to the Supervisor.
- Prepare and cook all menu items ensuring at all times that the quality and consistency of food sold to customers meets company standards.
- Adhering to all HACCP food safety standards on a daily basis.
- Ensure food is stored and labelled correctly at all times.
- Maintain a high standard of food and beverage equipment, crockery and cutlery and utensils. All should be handled with due care.
- Other duties as directed by management.
**Essential Criteria**:
- Available to work weekends, public holidays, and school holiday periods.
- Experience in a similar role and long term commitment to Australia Zoo.
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (QLD RSA).
