Our client, a prominent automotive dealership located in Narre Warren, is currently seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to join their team. They are looking for an organised and detail-oriented individual to oversee the end-to-end payroll process for their diverse workforce of 400+ employees across multiple sites. This is a permanent part-time position.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Payroll**:
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of the fortnightly pay run for 400+ staff
- Assist employees with payroll-related issues and inquiries
- Maintain up-to-date employee information, including electronic payroll files and onboarding documentation
- Calculate and process termination pays in compliance with company policies
- Generate comprehensive pay reports for management
**Month-End Activities**:
- Prepare month-end reports to support financial processes
- Process month-end payments accurately and punctually, including superannuation and child support
- Maintain up-to-date employee information in the super clearing house
**General Duties**:
- Maintain organised payroll records through efficient filing procedures
- Create employee files and follow up on outstanding onboarding tasks in Flare
- Collaborate with IT Support to set up new staff IT accounts
- Liaise with the payroll software provider as required
- Provide support and coordination to the HR Manager regarding new hires and employment changes
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience using UNIPAY or similar payroll systems is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective time management abilities to meet payroll deadlines
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
