What You'll Be Doing
As the HR Advisor, you will be responsible for providing advice, support and guidance to Coal LSL leaders and staff on a broad range of HR matters relating to the employee lifecycle.
You Will
* Provide HR advice, support, and coaching to managers, ensuring the effective and timely administration of associated activities.
* Provide end‐to‐end HR generalist support across recruitment, onboarding, performance and talent management, learning and development, remuneration and benefits, reporting, and cyclical HR processes.
* Support HR Business Partners with case management of staff matters related to performance, conduct, grievance and dispute resolution, ensuring compliance with CLSL policies and procedures, industrial instruments, and relevant legislation.
* Contribute to the development, implementation, embedding and ongoing review of activities or projects related to the employee lifecycle and organisational initiatives, including the Workforce Strategy.
* Contribute to the development, implementation, and cyclical review of HR policies, procedures, guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
* Maintain consistent and accurate data within HR records, databases, systems, and files, ensuring current data is readily available for the end‐user, and using this data to collate and prepare ad‐hoc and cyclical HR metrics.
This is a contract Position until March 2027 and is based in Newcastle.

What You'll Bring
To be successful in the position of HR Advisor, you will have previous experience in a HR generalist role providing support and guidance to leaders across all stages of the employee lifecycle.
Your Background Will Demonstrate Your
* Understanding of current employment legislation, regulations, and contemporary human resources issues and practices.
* Experience in the development, implementation, education, and ongoing compliance of HR operational policies, procedures, guidelines, and practices.
* Ability to foster effective working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders and capability to influence effective and compliant people solutions.
* Capacity to operate effectively in a dynamic environment with a flexible and adaptable approach, in support of a range of stakeholders with competing priorities.
* Highly developed organisational skills, with the ability to exercise initiative and judgement while effectively managing multiple, sometimes complex tasks and competing commitments concurrently.
* Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with a sound ability to communicate and consult with a wide range of stakeholders in a confident and effective manner.
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills, with the ability to understand and analyse people problems and data, and present evidence based recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
* Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a collaborative team.
* Commitment to conduct self in a manner that consistently upholds and role models CLSL's TORCH values.
* Experience working in Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) as a key or super user.
* Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Teams (essential), with experience using collaboration and workflow management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Tableau (highly desirable).
You will have a bachelor's degree in business, Human Resource Management or equivalent and a certificate in Mercer CED Job Evaluation methodology is highly desirable.
