About the role
As Traffic Manager/Allocator, you will be responsible for the day‐to‐day scheduling and allocation of Traffic Controllers, Team Leaders, vehicles, and equipment across multiple projects and client sites.
Working closely with clients, field staff, and management, you will ensure resources are allocated efficiently while compliance, safety, and service excellence.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‐paced operational environment, has exceptional organisational skills, and understands the demands of the traffic management industry.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and allocate Traffic Controllers, Vehicles and equipment to daily works
- Manage workforce rosters and scheduling requirements across multiple projects
- Liaise with clients regarding upcoming works, staffing requirements, and schedule changes
- Monitor daily operations and respond to last‐minute changes and urgent requests
- Ensure staffing levels meet project requirements and client expectations
- Maintain accurate scheduling, timesheet, and workforce records
- Coordinate employee availability, leave requests, and shift coverage
- Liaise with customers and internal stakeholders to manage expectations and resolve traffic‐related issues
- Support compliance with Traffic Management Plans (TMPs), WHS requirements, and company procedures
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in traffic management, workforce allocation, scheduling, or operations coordination
- Traffic Management qualifications or industry experience
- Strong understanding of the Traffic Management industry and operational requirements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities
- Knowledge of Queensland traffic management requirements and industry standards
- Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure
- High attention to detail and strong administrative skills
- Proficiency with scheduling systems (Traffio experience highly regarded), Microsoft Office, and workforce management software
- A proactive and solution‐focused mindset
