Description
Join our Coastal and Maritime team in Perth as a Dredging and Coastal Engineer. We are seeking experienced engineers at Consultant / Engineer level to support the delivery of dredging, coastal and marine engineering projects.
We are looking for dredging and coastal specialists with expertise in dredging & reclamation area conceptual designs, dredging production & costing models for assessing dredging processes and projects, and project coordination to deliver dredging projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to a diverse range of dredging and coastal projects including delivery within time, cost and quality requirements for private and public sector clients.
* Contribute to dredging feasibility studies including conceptual designs, disposal placement methodologies, risk assessment, operability assessment, dredging production and cost modelling.
* Act as a Project Manager for small to large scale dredging projects and lead engagement with the end client, including scheduling, stakeholder communication, financial and documentation management.
* Work within a cross‐discipline team, collaborating with coastal engineers, cartographers, environmental scientists, GIS and approvals specialists.
* Serve as a technical leader in the dredging area, conducting internal reviews and contributing to the development of templates and workflows.
* Provide leadership and mentoring to less experienced team members.
* Write proposals and support business development and customer relationship management.
About you
* A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Coastal Engineering, Marine Engineering or other relevant area of study.
* Minimum 2 years' experience post‐graduation.
* Experience working within the dredging sector with exposure to dredging, coastal engineering, marine infrastructure or environmental management projects.
* Experience with relevant software such as GIS, CAD, MATLAB and project management tools.
* Demonstrated understanding of coastal and marine environments, frameworks and processes, including sediment transport, coastal dynamics and marine systems.
* Understanding of project delivery principles, including planning, scheduling and stakeholder coordination.
* Working knowledge of Australian and/or international standards and guidelines relevant to dredging and reclamation and associated QHSE.
* Experience within the engineering/consulting sector, including proposals, costing models and managing customers or external stakeholders.
* Relevant registration with a recognised engineering body, including chartered status with Engineers Australia, and an RPEV/RPEQ or the ability to obtain one.
