About the Role:
You will be responsible to oversee and lead the daily operations within Aviair, ensuring safe, compliance and reliable delivery of scenic, charter and scheduled air transport operations. Work closely with relevant departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
* Lead daily operation across bases including: briefings, tasking, disruption management and recovery, clear escalation and decision logs.
* Resolve escalated or complex customer and client complaints.
* Build and maintain strong stakeholder engagement with airports, ground handlers, vendors and clients.
* Monitor performance investigate delays and provide monthly operational reporting.
* Maintain the fleet and bases readiness: coordinate with Engineering and CAMO on aircraft utilisation around maintenance (planned and unplanned).
* Participate in budgeting, cost control and operational efficiency initiatives.
* Responsible for capacity planning and risk management to match demand and contractual requirements.
* Oversee operations and reservations roster and leave management and support crew roster with Workforce Planning, ensuring fatigue and contractual compliance.
* Lead, coach and develop teams to deliver safe, compliant, professional and efficient service.
* Drive consistency in operational execution across all bases, ensuring adherence to company standards and procedures.
* Ensuring compliance with all company procedures and CASA legislation.
* Champion safety, SMS participation and occurrence reporting with timely close-out of actions.
* Prepare for and respond to internal and external audits and implement corrective actions for base specific items.
About You
* Hold a relevant tertiary study or 5+ years' equivalent industry experience.
* Proven leadership in airline or charter operations (Part 135 preferred).
* Strong knowledge of CASA requirements and safety management systems.
* Financial acumen with analytical skills.
* Communication skills both written and oral.
* Ability to obtain and hold an ASIC.
* Ability to work flexible roster that includes weekends and public holidays.
