BOILERMAKERS & WELDERS
THE OPPORTUNITIESMultiple opportunities for Boilermakers, Welders and Fitters commence in the New Year, across high profile projects including Sydney Children's Hospital, the Mount Ousley Interchange, Bluescope's Western Sydney Service Centre in Erskine Park, the Cross City Tunnel Project and more
DAILY DUTIES
* Fabrication and assembling of metal compenents and structures according to technical drawings and project specs
* Maintain and operate power tools, hot torches, and all equipment in a skilled, safe and efficient manner
* Perform welding in accordance with approved codes, able to pass QA testing
* Carry out basic maintenance, equipment upkeep procedures and duties to ensure WHS protocols are maintained
* Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure timely project delivery
* Uphold workshop safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment at all times
* Be committed to working in a team and with minimal supervision
PAY RATES
PAYG and ABN available PAYG $50-55 per hour + Super + Daily Travel + Overtime
ABN $60-65 per hour + Daily Travel + Overtime
SELECTION CRITERIA
* Trade Qualified in Engineering or a related field
* Minimum 5 years post qualification experience with structural steel fabrication
* Ability to read and interpret plans and blueprints
* Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical issues
* Ability to follow instructions and accurately and safely complete tasks assigned
* Competent use of hand tools, hot tirches & machines utilised to cut, shape, bend, join, grind etc of metals
* Competent Welding skills
* Good communication skills, both written & verbal
* Can understand and work to all OHS & safety requirements
* Full Australian working rights
* Full PPE, basic tools & welding helmet
