Job Opportunity
This position offers the chance to work with job seekers who face complex barriers to employment.
* Conduct in-depth assessments of candidates with a range of disabilities and barriers to employment;
* Provide counseling intervention as needed, using various psychological methodologies;
* Refer candidates to additional external support services to help address barriers;
* Evaluate assessments and monitor the progression of cases;
* Liaise with medical professionals and community agencies on behalf of candidates;
* Offer training and guidance to staff on psychological services and procedures.
Essential Qualifications
You will need:
* A relevant tertiary qualification in psychology with eligibility for registration with APHRA;
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in counseling or eligibility to gain membership with ACA/PACFA;
* Experience working within employment services is highly regarded but not essential;
* Knowledge of psychology assessment/intervention strategies;
* Exceptional communication, rapport-building skills, and engagement;
* Proven ability to construct accurate and articulate case reports;
* Ability to work towards generating positive outcomes for clients.
