We are currently seeking a skilled Belt Worker with a Certificate III in Polymer Processing to join our team in Traralgon,Vic (local base). This role involves the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of conveyor belts and polymer-based components across various industrial sites.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out installation, inspection, and maintenance of conveyor belt systems used for coal and material handling in a power station mine environment
* Perform hot and cold splicing, belt repairs, pulley lagging, and belt tracking to ensure continuous operation and minimal downtime
* Support planned shutdowns, emergency breakdowns, and routine maintenance activities in compliance with strict safety and environmental protocols
* Operate belt maintenance tools and equipment while following site procedures and reporting requirements
* Collaborate with mechanical and maintenance teams to complete belt change-outs, inspections, and repairs across mine and plant areas
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in both workshop and field locations
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in heavy industrial, mining, or power generation setting, particularly with large-scale conveyor systems
* Physically fit with the ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and under various environmental conditions
* Strong safety focus with working knowledge of permit-to-work systems, procedures, and risk assessments
* Ability to work rotating shifts, including night shifts and weekends during critical maintenance windows
* Current driver's license and reliable transport to access remote site areas
Desirable Trainings Licenses (Not Essential but Highly Regarded):
* MR (Medium Rigid) Truck Licence - for transport and delivery of equipment
* EWP (Elevated Work Platform) Licence - for working at heights
