Sumich is seeking a Senior Grader to lead our Day Shift onion grading team.
This casual role reports to the Production Manager and is ideal for someone who understands product quality standards, enjoys working with people, and feels confident operating in a busy packhouse environment.
This is a hands-on, physically demanding role, which requires climbing stairs and remaining on your feet throughout the shift.
Senior Graders on day and afternoon shifts rotate weekly between standard Onion Grader duties and the Senior Grader role once the afternoon shift concludes, so applicants must be comfortable performing both.
The onion season begins in mid-January, and typically runs until mid to late October.

Allocating graders to correct positions, then managing rotation
