We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Student Support Officer to join our team. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in maintaining and promoting good order within our student support services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain accurate records and provide administrative support to students, staff, and parents/guardians
* Triage the needs of students who seek assistance from our student support services
* Ensure established expectations, routines, and processes in student support are followed
As a successful candidate, you will have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, parents, and guardians. You will also possess strong organisational skills, with experience in providing administrative support and managing conflicting timelines.
You will be responsible for assisting with the implementation of school attendance and wellbeing strategies, as well as updating important medical and health information on our student data entry system.
Requirements:
* Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid visa with relevant work rights
* A valid Working With Children Check before commencement
* Consent to a National Criminal History Check with our Screening Unit
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide a professional and confidential service to a range of clients. They will also possess experience in the use of computerised management information systems, including database, spreadsheet, and word processing software.
