The Opportunity
This is a senior commercial leadership role with real authority, influence, and scale.
As Commercial Manager for Veris' Spatial Insights & Solutions business, you will partner closely with operational leaders across a national portfolio to embed commercial discipline, sharpen decision-making, and materially improve project outcomes, margin performance, and risk management.
This role sits on the Spatial Insights & Solutions leadership team and operates as a trusted commercial advisor to the General Manager, Service Line Leaders, Project Managers and client leaders — challenging, guiding, and enabling the business, not passively reporting on it.
You will play a key role in:
• Driving a "no surprises, no blame" commercial culture
• Lifting commercial capability across the project lifecycle
• Strengthening bid risk/reward decisions
• Improving data quality, forecasting accuracy, and insight through the ERP
This is not a back-office finance role. It is a hands-on, high-impact leadership position for someone who wants to influence how a national consulting business performs.
About You
You are a commercial leader, not a reporter.
You bring:
* 10+ years' experience in commercial, operational, or financial leadership within a professional services or consulting environment
* A track record of influencing senior stakeholders without relying on hierarchy
* Strong commercial judgement across project delivery, risk, pricing, and margin
* The confidence to challenge constructively and support decisively
* The ability to synthesise complex data into clear insights and recommendations
* A calm, credible presence under pressure
* The courage to take a position and back it with evidence
Your background may be commercial, financial, or technical. However, what matters is your business acumen, leadership maturity, and ability to drive outcomes.
