The opportunity
We are seeking a proactive Grounds & Maintenance Officer to support the daily operations of a vibrant residential park in Emerald, QLD. This is a well-presented park with a mix of cabins, motel rooms, powered and unpowered caravan sites. This role is pivotal in maintaining outdoor spaces and performing general repairs to uphold high standards of safety and presentation.
Reporting to the Park Manager, you will:
Maintain gardens, lawns, and outdoor areas through mowing, pruning, and planting
Perform general repairs including painting, fixture replacements, and minor plumbing
Ensure compliance with WHS standards and safe work practices
Foster positive relationships with residents and team members
Maintain pool upkeep including opening and closing support
About you
You are a hands-on professional with practical experience in groundskeeping, gardening, or general maintenance. You bring:
Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Knowledge of WHS practices and safe chemical handling
Friendly communication skills and a commitment to resident satisfaction
