Disability Support Worker

We are seeking individuals to provide support in-home for clients with complex mental and other health issues. Enthusiastic, caring, compassionate, respectful individuals who can complete personal care as well as domestic duties are required.

The role will initially be offered on a casual basis with the opportunity for Permanent Part-Time based on performance.

Key qualifications include:
">
* A current Individual Support (Disability) Certificate III or higher
">
* Experience working with people with disability who have support needs, particularly with mental health issues
">
* Skills and qualifications in medication assistance and administration (HLTHPS006)
">
* Demonstrated understanding of incident reporting, quality documentation, complaints handling, and complex behaviour strategic support
">
* A positive attitude and willingness to use own vehicle for work purposes
">
* A current CPR & First Aid Certificate and Open Drivers Licence
">
* A current Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Card
">

* Support male and female NDIS participants with a range of mental disabilities

* Mentor participants to increase their independence

* Support participants to engage in community-based activities

* Model and encourage appropriate social behaviours as necessary
