Estimator Role Overview
A Sales Estimator position at a residential builder involves creating accurate sales estimates and tender pricing for investment properties. The role requires collaboration with suppliers and internal departments to ensure all inclusions, exclusions, and client variations are accurately captured.
The Sales Estimator will prepare detailed sales estimates and BOQs from concept drawings, support the sales team with tender documentation and pricing breakdowns, and maintain and update price files and estimator tools. Additionally, they will assist in value engineering to meet investor budgets and ROI targets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare detailed sales estimates and BOQs from concept drawings
* Liaise with suppliers and internal departments for pricing updates
* Ensure all inclusions, exclusions and client variations are accurately captured
* Support the sales team with tender documentation and pricing breakdowns
* Maintain and update price files and estimator tools
* Assist in value engineering to meet investor budgets and ROI targets
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years' experience as a Sales Estimator (preferably with an investment builder or volume builder)
* Solid understanding of residential construction and building codes
* Proficient with estimating software Databuild
* Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
