About the opportunity
The role involves coordinating and implementing the quality program throughout all areas of the service, improving patient care and safety, and providing leadership, support and training to staff in the quality system.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate and implement the quality program throughout all areas of the service.
* Coordinate improvement in patient care and safety while providing leadership, support and training to all staff in the quality system.
* Develop, implement, educate and evaluate effective Infection Control standards, acting as a role model providing leadership and clinical practice.
* Operate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure a highly responsive and flexible service to both internal and external health care providers.

Requirements
* Registered Nurse with registration with APHRA.
* Postgraduate qualification in or working towards qualification in Infection Control or equivalent is highly desirable.
* Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.
* Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
* A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.
* The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Additional requirements
* A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
* Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
