You will work in a busy urgent care clinic with a clear scope of work from day one.
Location:Mackay, QLD
*About the Urgent Care GP Role*
This is an Urgent Care Clinic, operating seven days a week from 8am to 10pm.
You will work with nursing support on every shift, led by an experienced head nurse and a practice manager handling the operational side.
Busy at times, but structured. You are not on your own.
* Treating a broad mix of injuries, acute issues, and minor trauma
* Performing procedures including cannulation, ECGs, suturing, and airway management
* Making fast, sensible decisions and delegating when needed
* Working alongside experienced nurses who understand urgent care flow
Requirements for Urgent Care General Practitioners
* VR GP registration
* Prior hospital, ED, or urgent care experience
* Confident with procedures and acute decision-making under pressure
* Willing to work bulk billing urgent care
* Reliable and able to commit to agreed shifts
