Job Title: Chief Financial Operations Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to oversee the company's day-to-day financial operations.
About the Role: As Chief Financial Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting in line with Australian accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Record and process monthly journals and transactions.
* Ensure all accounts receivable, payable, and cash book entries are accurately captured.
* Prepare and lodge BAS, PAYG, and superannuation.
* Liaise with payroll service providers for weekly/monthly processing and record in the general ledger.
* Perform monthly general ledger reconciliations.
* Assist with month-end and year-end reporting, including liaising with external accountants/auditors.
* Maintain the Fixed Asset Register.
* Manage cash flow and monitor operational expenditure.
* Support management with financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.
* Ensure compliance with ATO regulations and company policies.
* Maintain accurate records and identify opportunities for process improvement.
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in bookkeeping or a similar accounting role.
* Strong knowledge of GST, BAS, and Australian tax obligations.
* Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g. Xero or similar).
* High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proven ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Relevant qualification in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Finance (Certificate, Diploma, or Degree).
