Overview
Booth Transport is a national transport company that has created a new Workshop Supervisor position at our Burton Workshop. The role reports to the Workshop Manager and involves overseeing the maintenance and repair of our diesel fleet, including trucks, trailers and equipment.
Responsibilities
* Scheduling and coordinating services and repairs
* Communicating with other departments and stakeholders in a positive manner
* Managing and maintaining stock levels
* Assisting with the development of apprentices and tradesmen when required
* Assisting with the development and implementation of procedures and processes
* Ensuring staff complete work safely and efficiently in line with company standards
* Ensuring accurate housekeeping and completion of all paperwork and systems associated with fleet maintenance and repair
* Prioritizing health and safety of all staff members at all times
* Responding to breakdown phone calls as rostered
Candidate Requirements
* Experience in transport
* Experience with Kenworth, Cummins & trailers
* Proven competence as a Workshop Supervisor
* MC Licence (not required, but preferred)
* Sound computer skills
* Ability to lead, demonstrate and educate employees to embrace a safe & productive work environment
* Good problem solving and planning skills
