Weighbridge Operator
Location: Newman, WA.
We are looking for a Weighbridge Operator for our Newman site. This role is key to efficient operations of the site and involves operating the quarry weighbridge for ticketing, dispatch of customer trucks, and providing office administration support including purchase requisitions, general admin duties and office organization.
Responsibilities
* Raising purchase order requisitions in line with Procurement Policy.
* Reviewing workflows and purchasing reports for timely payment to suppliers.
* Data entry into SAP.
* General office administration.
* Reconciliation of contractor hours.
* Providing sales quotes for Account Managers.
* Issuing tickets for quarry loads using the G Tick weighbridge system.
* Maintaining a weighbridge database (truck tare register, product lists, prices, etc.).
* Actioning quarry sales orders.
* Liaising with customers on product and pricing queries.
* Ensuring adherence to quarry visitor, security, and traffic control systems.
* Ensuring accurate entry of all dockets, cartage adjustments, and cartage special entries.
* Maintaining well‐operated quarry weighbridge computer systems.
* Conducting regular inspection and cleaning of weighbridge decks and beneath‐deck areas.
Qualifications
* Office administration support experience.
* Experience operating a quarry weighbridge is an advantage.
* Experience operating machinery and relevant tickets is preferred but not essential.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Flexibility and willingness to work across all facets of quarry activities.
* Prepared to work overtime.
* Personable, polite, and courteous with customers.
* Must hold valid Australian work rights with no restrictions on employment duration or hours worked (holiday or student visas not accepted).
