About the Role:
In this role you will be responsible for scheduling our road freight services efficiently to ensure deliveries are made within set time frames in accordance with safety and customer requirements. Due to the nature of the industry that our customers operate in, the role is fast paced with frequent changes to schedules to adapt to. If you are a person that enjoys providing solutions to complex problems, enjoys building and maintaining long-term relationships with stakeholders and enjoys a work environment where you respond to changes frequently, this could be the role for you.
Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and schedule the transportation of goods and materials to ensure timely delivery to customers
* Communicate with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth transportation operations
* Monitor and track loads to ensure they are delivered on time and in good condition
* Resolve any transportation-related issues or delays that may arise
* Maintain accurate records of transportation activities and expenses
* Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and safety standards
* Continuously evaluate and improve transportation processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs
Skills/Experience:
* To be considered for this opportunity, the candidates ideally should meet the below criteria:
* Ability to work a 8 day on / 6 day off roster
* Transport scheduling experience
* Exposure working in Dangerous Goods is an advantage
* Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities and meet deadlines
* Take direction and show initiative to achieve organisation success
* Basic Microsoft Office experience and clear communication skills
* A positive and energetic attitude
* The ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical, including a Drug and Alcohol Test
