The Opportunity
As a Project Manager at TD Consulting, you will take ownership of infrastructure projects across the full lifecycle - from early planning and design through procurement, construction, and close-out. You will work directly with clients, delivery partners, and internal teams to ensure outcomes are safe, compliant, commercially sound, and aligned with client objectives, delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard.
This is an opportunity to shape critical infrastructure outcomes for major public and private-sector clients across Tasmania within a high-performing boutique consultancy. You will be entrusted with authority to lead projects, make decisions, and influence outcomes. Acting as the primary client interface on assigned projects, you will build trusted relationships, uphold delivery excellence, and contribute to the ongoing growth and capability of the business.
What you'll be doing
* Leading the end-to-end delivery of complex infrastructure projects from planning through to close-out
* Managing project scope, program, cost, risk, quality, and safety outcomes
* Developing and maintaining robust project management plans, schedules, and budgets
* Acting as the primary interface with clients and key stakeholders, building strong working relationships
* Coordinating consultants, contractors, and internal technical teams across all delivery phases
* Managing procurement strategies, contract administration, and change control
* Establishing and maintaining effective project governance, reporting, and assurance frameworks
* Preparing clear progress reports, forecasts, and executive briefings
* Mentoring team members and contributing to capability development
* Championing safety, sustainability, and best-practice infrastructure and project delivery outcomes
About You
You are a confident and capable Project Manager who thrives in a dynamic consulting environment and enjoys working on projects with tangible community impact.
You bring:
* A degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or a related discipline
* Demonstrated experience delivering medium to large-scale infrastructure projects
* Strong knowledge of project controls, risk management, and governance
* Proven communication and stakeholder-management skills
* A collaborative mindset with the confidence to lead
Experience in civil, transport, maritime, ports, or asset-intensive infrastructure, and exposure to Tasmanian or Australian government clients, will be highly regarded.
