Why do we need you?Serving as an experienced senior lead supporting the Shared Services Center (SSC) accounting team, Business Unit (BU), and Service Provider team members. Your role involves facilitating daily accounting operations, improving SSC accounting procedures, and strengthening internal controls. You will provide training and guidance to the SSC and Service Provider accounting teams.You will act as a key Accounting and Reporting contact with customer management and staff, delivering high-quality customer service, proactive communication, and continuous service improvement.Your responsibilities include driving the monthly close process—approving journal entries, reconciliations, reports, intercompany invoices, and balances—ensuring timely and accurate delivery of results. You will monitor general ledger activities, perform account reconciliations, and ensure reconciliation items are addressed promptly.You will oversee customer financial reporting, ensuring the timely, accurate, and compliant compilation of Magnitude packages by the Service Provider, BU, and SSC. Additionally, you will support the completion of tax, treasury, and government reports, providing quality reviews and monitoring.Ensuring compliance with Saint-Gobain's Internal Control Reference Framework (ICRF), GAAP, and IFRS is key. You will lead or participate in initiatives to meet SSC and BU goals and support special projects sponsored by the customer.You will respond to financial and tax audit requests, providing insights and support, and apply your technical expertise to resolve accounting and systems issues, guiding the Service Provider on exceptions to accounting or process rules.Is this job for you?Bachelor's in Business Administration/Accounting; an advanced degree is a plus.Professional Certification (CPA, CMA) is a plus.5-10 years of experience in general accounting within a large, complex international business; experience with internal customers in a shared service environment is advantageous.Strong understanding of accounting and reporting standards, GAAP, IFRS, internal controls, and experience with ERP and financial reporting systems.Ability to coach and manage outsourced team members across different cultures, geographies, and time zones.A little more about usAt Saint-Gobain, our core values include Trust, Empowerment, and Collaboration.
