A leading company in the automotive industry is seeking a strategic and growth-oriented Director of National Accounts to lead its vendor relationships and national account operations across North America. This is a high-impact role responsible for driving revenue through national fleet relationships, strategic vendor programs, and operational excellence.
Location: On-site in Charlotte -Relocation assistance may be available for qualified, non-local candidates.
What You Will Do
* Lead and manage the national accounts and fleet teams, overseeing direct and indirect reports to enhance performance and accountability.
* Build and deepen relationships with key national vendors and commercial partners, negotiating agreements and overseeing program delivery.
* Drive strategic sales initiatives to expand commercial upfit and fleet business opportunities across the U.S. and Canada.
* Act as the primary escalation point for franchisee and vendor issues, collaborating cross-functionally to resolve challenges.
* Represent the company at industry events and partner summits, strengthening external relationships and brand visibility.
How You Are Qualified
* 7+ years of experience in B2B sales or national account management—ideally within automotive, fleet, or commercial services.
* Proven success developing and scaling vendor programs and managing national customer relationships.
* Experience leading teams with strong coaching, communication, and project management skills.
* Ability to think strategically while maintaining a hands-on approach to executing initiatives and solving problems.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; knowledge of franchise operations, CRM tools, and vendor contracting is a plus.
