We are seeking a senior SAP BTP Technical Lead to establish and own the technical foundations of our SAP Business Technology Platform landscape. This role is responsible for setting development standards, governance frameworks, and platform best practices while leading the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performing BTP solutions. Working closely with architects, delivery teams, and systems integrators, you will play a hands-on role in building key components, guiding technical direction, and ensuring seamless integration with SAP S/4HANA across the broader enterprise environment.
* Responsible for setting up foundations for BTP Technical build- Coding standards, naming standards, Deployment standards and establishing frameworks for logging, monitoring, and alerting.
* Oversee the development(UX Design, UI and Backend Development, Security), maintenance, and optimization of our SAP's Business Technology Platform (BTP) platform and will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the platform meets the organization scalability, reliability, and performance needs.
* Build POCs and MVPs of key deliverables for the team to gain momentum and also assist with building complex components.
* Provide technical design and estimation of solutions to be built on BTP platform.
* For the components built by SIs, this role will be the key EGL partner for alignment and technical governance through peer review and sign-off.
* Ensure seamless integration with SAP S/4HANA and other SAP modules.
* Work closely with project managers, architects, business leads, solution managers and functional analysts to understand requirements, prioritise.
* Participate in workshops and working groups with SIs to finalise the technical development approach for the program. This will include a review of detailed design deliverables with the SIs for low-level design.
* Collaborate with architects and senior engineers to design and implement robust platform architectures that meet the organisation's performance, scalability, and security requirements.
* Ensure the platform complies with relevant regulations and industry standards, implementing security best practices to protect sensitive data and systems
* Act as a technical subject matter expert, provide product expertise, guidance/mentorship, and instruction on SAP BTP platforms.
* Provide regular updates on priorities and progress.
* This role requires a deep understanding of SAP BTP Development modules(UI, side by side extensions, Workflow), software architecture, and best practices in platform engineering.
* Understanding of the SAP BTP platform architecture and catalogue of services.
* Knowledge/understanding of Azure DevOps, CTMS, and Cloud ALM.
* Analytical, results-driven and solution-oriented way of working.
* Strong knowledge and experience in software development methodologies and DevOps practices.
* Team player with excellent communication skills,
* Working knowledge of ITIL and Agile
* Highly organised with strong activity and resource planning skills.
