The Role
We are looking for an Electrical Supervisor to join us within the Mining Electrical Team. In this role, you will effectively supervise and administer the Electrical Maintenance team including contractors, in order to consistently deliver productive and efficient value-added outcomes to the company, all the while maintaining a safe and equal opportunity workplace. We are looking for an experienced individual for this position, ideally applicants will have over 5 years' Electrical Fixed Assets experience and demonstrated knowledge of risk management, safety systems and legislative requirements for electrical installations coupled with experience supervising and developing large work teams. This position will be on a 5:2/4:3 roster (9-day fortnight).
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Safety leadership
2. Developing a positive team culture in line with Glencore values including mentoring and coaching to build employee role competency
3. Development and application of the weekly work schedule
4. Providing visible leadership and ensuring compliance to Mount Isa Mines policies
5. Optimisation of assigned resources and continuous improvement to minimise cost and waste
6. Budget development and adherence to budget
7. Team administration
The successful candidate will possess:
1. A trade Qualification as Electrician
2. Previous Supervisor Experience
3. Licensed electrician
4. S123
5. 5 Years Mining Experience
6. Leadership Skills
