About The Role
We are seeking a Boilermaker (Mechanical Operator/Maintainer) based at our Ranger Rehabilitation Project in Jabiru. Your role will involve executing efficient daily operation and maintenance activities of the Brine Concentrator, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
Reporting to the Brine Concentrator Operations & Maintenance Supervisor, your responsibilities include:
1. Performing maintenance work such as scheduled tasks, break-in work, and shutdowns
2. Monitoring plant infrastructure, equipment status, and trends to optimize stability
3. Assisting with incident investigations
4. Working in challenging environments including hot, humid, wet conditions, heights, and confined spaces
5. Demonstrating a strong safety commitment to achieve zero injuries and incidents
6. Communicating safety and process issues to leadership
7. Maintaining a safe, clean, and well-managed work area, and correcting unsafe conditions
8. Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and suggesting process enhancements
What You Will Bring
To succeed, you should have:
* Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication) Trade
* A current manual ‘C’ class driver’s license
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
* Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office
* Strong critical thinking skills
* The initiative to pursue continuous improvement
Beneficial additional experience includes:
* Processing Fixed Plant experience
* Rebuilding pumps and bearings
* Control room or operational experience
* Work Order management using CMMS (SAP)
* Relevant industry qualifications (WAH, CSE/GTA, EWP, LF, DG, RB)

Location Details
ERA, established in 1979, is now focused on rehabilitating the Ranger mine site, located in the Alligator Rivers region of the Northern Territory, within and surrounding Kakadu National Park. The project is the largest of its kind in Australia, aiming to restore land to its natural state by 2028, with significant funding allocated for rehabilitation activities.
