About the opportunity
MacKellar is a leading mining services contractor supporting Bravus' Carmichael Mine in the Galilee Basin. With production in full swing and the site continuing to grow, we're expanding our electrical maintenance team and are seeking experienced HV Leading Hand Electricians to join a high-performing, safety-focused operation.
This is an opportunity to work on a modern open-cut mine with a large electric drive truck fleet, strong leadership on site, and long-term project stability.

Your new role
In this hands-on position, you will:
* Provide on-the-tools support to Supervisors within the HV Electrical team
* Carry out maintenance, fault finding and diagnostics on electric drive haul trucks including CAT 796 and Liebherr T264
* Read and interpret electrical schematics and perform advanced electrical diagnostics
* Complete installations including generators, cable runs and associated infrastructure
* Ensure planned maintenance and repairs are completed safely, on time and within budget
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and uphold procedure-based preventative maintenance standards
What we're looking for
To be successful, you will bring:
* Certificate III in Electrical Fitting (or equivalent)
* HV switching ticket (mandatory)
* Demonstrated experience maintaining and repairing mobile mining plant or locomotive machinery
* Supervisory experience or leadership capability (advantageous)
* Current Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical, or willingness to obtain
* Current Queensland Driver's Licence
* A strong commitment to safety, teamwork and operational excellence
