The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Housekeeping Team Lead to oversee daily cleaning operations and support our housekeeping team. This hands-on leadership role is ideal for someone who is organised, reliable, and passionate about maintaining high presentation standards while guiding and supporting team members.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise housekeeping staff across multiple properties
* Perform and oversee high-standard cleaning of short-stay accommodation
* Allocate daily tasks
* Conduct quality checks and final inspections prior to guest arrivals
* Ensure linen, amenities, and cleaning supplies are managed efficiently
* Report maintenance issues, damages, or stock shortages promptly
* Train and onboard new team members
* Liaise with management regarding daily operations and priorities
* Use basic computer systems and mobile apps for scheduling, reporting, and communication
To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Have:
* Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience (short-stay or hotel preferred)
* Leadership or supervisory experience (highly regarded)
* Basic computer knowledge – mandatory
* Daytime availability and flexibility across a 7-day roster
* Reliable transport
* Willingness to obtain a National Police Clearance Check
* Valid visa with working rights in Australia
