We are currently seeking a dedicated Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team in Warrnambool, Victoria. In this role, you will manage the team’s day-to-day activities, providing clear leadership and direction while fostering a high-performance culture. You will take a proactive approach to safety, quality and customer service and drive continuous improvement across the business.
Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Management: Oversee the coaching and development of a team of tradespeople (Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Refrigeration)
- Operational Delivery: Manage and monitor maintenance activities to ensure plant reliability, efficiency and safe work practices; oversee fault finding, repair and servicing of plant and equipment; coordinate installation of new machinery and systems; collaborate with production teams, supervisors and contractors to meet deadlines; assist with costing, quoting and tendering processes; ensure timely completion of job reports, permits and administrative tasks
- Safety, Quality & Compliance: Ensure compliance with OHS policies, legislative requirements, and company standards; conduct and review task analyses and risk assessments; drive adherence to traffic management and housekeeping standards; ensure QA systems and documentation are followed accurately and on time; actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives; recommend measures to improve plant performance, equipment reliability, and service delivery; provide feedback to management and stakeholders on opportunities for improvement
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Compliance with OHS policies and safe work practices; effective team leadership, performance management, and employee engagement; timely and cost-effective maintenance delivery within budget and schedule; equipment reliability and plant availability; accurate and timely reporting and data entry
Qualifications
- Trade/ Engineering background with multi exposure (mechanical & electrical)
- High attention to detail with strong planning and time management
- Confidence in decision-making and managerial courage
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding ability
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- First Aid Certificate
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in site-based maintenance management
- Experience in a food processing/manufacturing environment
- Cert IV in Frontline Management (or working towards)
