We're not your typical self-storage operator. Silo Storage develops and manages modern, state-of-the-art storage and micro-warehouse facilities across NSW. Our Nowra site is a premium facility featuring secure gated access, 24/7 customer entry, CCTV surveillance, and a mix of self-storage units and small-format warehouses serving tradies, small businesses, and local families.
We're growing fast—and we need someone exceptional to be the face of our Nowra operation.

The Role
This is a hands-on facility management position where you'll own the day-to-day customer experience and site operations. You'll be the first point of contact for customers, the go-to person for solving problems, and the operator who ensures our facility runs smoothly, stays full, and looks sharp.
Hours: Preferably Full time Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm however a Permanent part-time hrs/week) for the right person.
Reporting to: Business Owner (direct line—no corporate red tape)

What You'll Be Doing
Customer-facing:
* Lease storage units and micro-warehouses to new customers (walk-ins, phone, email enquiries)
* Deliver exceptional service that turns enquiries into rentals and one-time customers into long-term tenants
* Handle move-ins, move-outs, and customer requests with professionalism and speed
Operations & admin:
* Process payments, invoices, and maintain accurate records in our management system
* Monitor occupancy, follow up on overdue accounts, and maximise rental income
* Keep the facility immaculately presented—clean, secure, and welcoming
* Coordinate with trades and contractors for maintenance and minor repairs
* Conduct regular site inspections to ensure security and compliance
Sales & growth:
* Proactively convert leads and enquiries into leases
* Upsell customers to the right-sized unit (bigger is often better for them—and us)
* Contribute ideas to improve customer experience and drive occupancy

About You
You don't need self-storage experience. You do need to be:
Previous sales or customer service experience is essential for this role.
Customer-focused – You genuinely enjoy helping people and solving their problems
Commercially savvy – You understand that leasing units = revenue, and you're motivated to fill the site
Organised & reliable – You can juggle multiple tasks, keep accurate records, and work independently
Tech-capable – Confident with computers, email, and picking up new software quickly (full training provided)
Practical & hands-on – Comfortable doing a walk-through, spotting a maintenance issue, or jumping in when needed
Must have Australian work rights and eligibility to work in Australia.
Must possess intermediate level computer skills beyond basic email proficiency, including ability to navigate multiple software systems.
Database management skills are required to effectively manage customer records and facility operations.
Highly regarded:
* Experience in retail, property management, office admin, sales, or hospitality
* A driver's licence (helpful for occasional errands or site visits)
* Local to Nowra or Shoalhaven region
