This role is perfect for a seasoned chef looking to develop their skills and take on leadership responsibilities in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for owning their section, whether it's grill, breakfast, pastry, or larder, and bringing creativity, consistency, and leadership to every service.

You'll inspire junior chefs, maintain high standards, and collaborate with Senior Chefs to ensure seamless kitchen operations. Key Responsibilities:

* Confidently run your section, especially the grill, delivering perfection under pressure.
* Mentor junior chefs and help them grow in their roles.
* Create beautiful dishes to specification, on time, and to our high standards.
* Pitch new ideas for menus and specials, showcasing your creativity.
* Maintain a spotless, organized, and compliant kitchen environment.
* Work with the team to control waste and manage portioning for business success.
* Support stock control, ordering, and storage, treating ingredients with care.
* Assist your team wherever needed, ensuring a smooth operation when the kitchen is busy.

About You:

* Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and solid experience as a Demi Chef or CDP.
* Confidently run your own section and lead a small team.
* Proficient in grilling, delivering perfectly cooked steaks and proteins.
* Remain calm under pressure and handle a fast-paced kitchen without losing composure.
* Team player and clear communicator, ensuring your section runs smoothly.
* Excellent food safety knowledge and certification.
* Reliable transportation to our Yarra Valley location.
* Full Australian working rights and ability to work weekends.
