The Heights Technical College offers four industry training programs focussing on industries in high demand such as Building and Construction, Aeroskills, Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering and Early Childhood and Education. The college partners with high-profile employers, training providers and higher education partners.
What will you do
This position will focus on the delivery of learning that allows students to fulfil the requirements of the industry training programs delivered at the Technical College. The trainer provides current and authentic industry learning activities and coaching that develops the skills and dispositions required by employers in the workplace.
* Work in collaboration with the Industry Program Lead to implement and evaluate the curriculum of the Industry Training Programs
* Contribute to the planning, delivery and assessment of industry experiences, career planning, coaching and mentoring
* Provide advice and assistance to support students with industry connections and opportunities in the workplace.
What you will need
* Proven ability to establish sound and effective relationships and communication with staff, students, parents, and training providers to promote professional dialogue and a collaborative working culture resulting in improved educational outcomes for students
* Proven ability to deliver approaches that foster student engagement and support learner growth
* Extensive successful experience working within your specific trade/professional area.
