We are seeking a friendly, genuine and detail‐focused team player to join our Credit team as a Credit Control Officer.
As a Credit Control Officer, you'll be the driving force behind ensuring credit facilities are maintained by our Members while fostering strong, respectful relationships. This role goes beyond simply following up payments — you'll work closely with Members and internal teams to manage accounts with accuracy, empathy and efficiency.
You'll help monitor accounts, assess risk, and support appropriate collection activities, balancing business needs with customer care. Through clear, professional communication and a proactive approach, you'll contribute to the ongoing financial strength of Queensland Country while supporting positive, long‐term Member outcomes.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem‐solving, is highly organised, and thrives in a fast‐paced, collaborative environment.
This is a full‐time position working
38 hours per week, based at our Townsville Head Office.
Skills And Knowledge
* Excellent communication and people skills
* Ability to negotiate effectively and find balanced solutions
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Understanding of basic financial principles
* Flexible and adaptable, able to respond to changing circumstances
* Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
Experience And Qualifications
* Previous experience in collections (desirable)
* Previous experience in lending or financial services (desirable)
