Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape mission-driven systems architecture and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams supporting national security programs and innovation initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have deep experience in Azure infrastructure, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), and DevOps methodologies. They will play a key role in designing, deploying, and optimizing secure, scalable, and resilient cloud environments, while integrating novel technologies into production systems.

As a Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing robust Azure-based infrastructure solutions using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Bicep, Terraform, ARM templates).
You will also integrate emerging and novel technologies (e.g., mobile platforms, geospatial analytics, zero-trust architectures) into legacy or hybrid infrastructure environments.
Additionally, you will collaborate with application developers to understand system dependencies and ensure deployment pipelines meet operational and security requirements.
Optimizing infrastructure performance, scalability, and cost through continuous monitoring and capacity planning is also a critical aspect of this role.
Implementing and managing security controls, ensuring compliance with frameworks such as Essential 8, ISM, NIST 800-53, CMMC, or FedRAMP (where applicable) is another key responsibility.
Other responsibilities include managing Cloudflare services including DNS, WAF, Zero Trust Access, and CDN configuration for production environments.
Supporting and maintaining MDM platforms (e.g., Intune, Jamf, Kandji) and mobile device policies across the organization is also required.
Work with third-party vendors and defence partners, ensuring integrations and deliverables meet program-specific requirements.
Document infrastructure architecture, standards, and procedures to support knowledge transfer and audit readiness.
Participate in incident response and root cause analysis for infrastructure-related events.

Required Skills and Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
* 3+ years of hands-on experience in Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering roles with a focus on Azure.
* Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, Pulumi).
* Experience deploying and managing Cloudflare services including WAF, DNS, and Zero Trust configurations.
* Strong understanding of networking concepts including VPNs, firewalls, routing, and virtual networks.
* Familiarity with mobile device management (MDM) platforms and endpoint policy enforcement.
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps toolchains (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
* Proficiency with container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, AKS, Docker Swarm).
* Solid understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases and data-intensive systems, including exposure to big data environments.
