We are now seeking a talented Chef to join our team and contribute to our dynamic kitchen. We are looking for a skilled Chef who can manage daily kitchen operations, maintain food quality and presentation, and contribute to the continued success of our café. The ideal candidate will have solid culinary knowledge, strong organisation skills, and the ability to perform effectively in a busy kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, organise and oversee the preparation and cooking of food across breakfast and lunch services.
* Develop, update and refine menus to ensure variety, creativity and quality.
* Estimate food and labour requirements and coordinate ordering and stock control.
* Prepare, season and cook a wide range of dishes with consistent quality and presentation.
* Monitor food quality throughout preparation and service.
* Train, guide and supervise kitchen staff and assist with managing workflow.
* Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards.
* Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen at all times.
Skills & Qualifications
* Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
* Minimum of 1–2 years of relevant experience working in a commercial kitchen.
* Strong culinary and food preparation skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication and leadership skills.
* Commitment to high standards of food quality, safety and kitchen hygiene.

Location: Kalgoorlie WA 6430
Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time (minimum 38 hours per week)
Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 per annum (commensurate with experience)
