About the role
We have an exciting and rewarding support opportunity to share with you.
Located inBallarat, you will be part of a care team to Drake Medox are seeking enthusiastic and hard-working support workers to be able to work afternoon shifts 4:00pm - 10:00pm on Mon, Wed and Fri, and Tue, Thu, Sat and Sun 10:00pm-12:00AM with 2:1 care.
Our client is living inBallaratwith a spinal cord injury and requires support workers to join their team on a casual basis on fixed ongoing bases.
Our ideal candidate would receive client specific training with stable, consistent hours.
Due to the nature and complexity of the client's needs, you will need to have relevant disability experience.
An extensive onboarding program will be provided with buddy shifts to help you with your transition.
Your key responsibilities
Our team is looking for a dedicated and passionate who can undertake the following key responsibilities:
Personal care
Continence management
Medication administration
Domestic assistance
Community access
Light household duties & meal preparation
About you
To join the team, we are looking for the following skills and experience:
Previous experience with a brain injury.
Current First aid and CPR
NDIS Screening Clearance
Accredited Manual handling certificate (or willing to obtain)
Accredited Medication certificate (or willing to obtain)
Minimum Certificate 3 in health care.
We are also looking for someone with great communication skills, who works well in a team, has a caring and supportive nature, and is client focused.
