We are seeking a Microbiologist to join a high-performing Federal Government Department. The successful Microbiologist will play a key role in laboratory testing, analysis and reporting to support quality, safety and compliance within a regulated scientific environment.
The successful Microbiologist will secure an initial 12-month contract with 2x12 month extension options, based in ACT.
The Microbiologist will be responsible for but not limited to;
* Conducting, analysing and reporting on microbiological testing of regulated products
* Preparing laboratory reports and maintaining accurate testing records in line with quality and accreditation requirements
* Supporting the development of new testing methods, SOPs and evidence-based testing manuals
* Assisting with laboratory inventory, consumables management and continuous improvement initiatives
* Reviewing technical data and contributing to scientifically informed recommendations and evaluations
The Microbiologist will have experience in the following:
* Experience with microbiological analytical techniques and testing protocols
* Strong understanding of laboratory quality management systems, ideally within accredited environments
* Demonstrated ability to analyse data and apply statistical methods in a scientific setting
* Strong written communication skills, including the preparation of accurate, high-quality report.
