Job Title: Water Resources Specialist
The successful candidate will play a key role in our Water Resources Team, working on a range of surface water management projects. They will have experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake comprehensive studies and investigations in surface water management, including hydraulic, hydrology, and water balance modeling.
* Support the development of assessments, including dam break modeling.
* Assist in project documentation, proposal preparation, and technical report writing.
* Work with the team to develop innovative solutions for surface water management.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, or a related field of study.
* Advanced degree in a related field of study (preferred but not essential).
* Eligible for membership with Engineers Australia, with the ability to obtain RPEQ/NER once adequately qualified.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
* Experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling packages such as TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, RORB, WBNM, Flow-2D.
* Competent in the use of GIS software.
* Familiarity with ARR guidelines.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
