Position Overview
Our company is owned and managed by industry veterans who understand the position, the expectations, and the responsibilities. We currently offer plumbing services to a wide range of commercial, residential, and service markets in Central Oregon. We are looking for a Journeyman Plumber to fill a crucial position and help us grow our future crew leaders and managers.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Provide customer orientation, service, repair, installation, and/or propose replacement of plumbing components, accessories, and equipment, including but not limited to clogged drains, leaky pipes, toilets, faucets, water heaters, fixtures, valves, bathtubs, showers, water services, sewer mains, sump pumps, effluent pumps, septic systems, disposals, water purifiers, recirculation systems, etc.
* Provide onsite plumbing system diagnostics based upon client request and full inspection.
* Troubleshoot, adapt, and resolve/repair all issues during installations to ensure proper function and customer satisfaction.
* Communicate to the client the benefits of recommendations, risks of not performing repairs, benefits of a service agreement, proper operation and owner's maintenance, answer related questions, and communicate with supervisors throughout each project.
* Perform required documentation for each installation, complete startup records, obtain client signatures, and collect payments as directed.
* Use flat‐rate pricing system for recommendations.
* Follow up on all installations/services to determine customer satisfaction.
* Maintain up‐to‐date knowledge of company products, construction basics, and company operations. Engage in continuous learning through training, trade shows, seminars, and independent study.
* Accurately list/order materials and supplies.
* Manage time and schedules efficiently.
* Be computer literate and familiar with smartphones, text messaging, and email.
* Understand client needs.
* Maintain a clean, neat, professional appearance.
* Work and drive safely, recognizing and avoiding dangerous situations.
* Adapt to changing work schedules as business dictates.
* Participate in on‐call rotation for emergencies, after‐hours, weekend, and holiday service requests.
* Demonstrate high motivation, detail orientation, multitasking ability, problem‐solving skills, urgency, flexibility, and effective task follow‐through.
* Exhibit a positive attitude in a fast‐paced, goal‐driven environment.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
* Valid and insurable driver's license with a clean driving record.
* Current Oregon Journeyman or Phasedvision licensing, required.
* Verifiable work history and references.
* Ability to lift, climb stairs and ladders, and work in small spaces.
Compensation
$45–$60 per hour, depending on experience.
Schedule
Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week; overtime as needed.
