Occupational Health Specialist
This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the health and wellbeing of workers through the delivery of healthcare services, health promotion, proactive injury management, monitoring of occupational health functions, supporting occupational hygiene programs, and providing expert advice and assistance on health matters.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Provide emergency and non-emergency assistance and healthcare to site workers, utilizing first aid skills as required.
* Assist in managing site processes related to health emergency preparedness through regular review and updating of emergency procedures and response systems, ensuring alignment with organizational standards.
* Provide relevant healthcare training and coaching as required by managers, including members of the Emergency Response Team (ERT), focusing on critical care techniques.
* Participate in emergency response training to understand roles fulfilled during emergency response scenarios.
* Manage emergency health facilities and assets onsite to ensure timely, coordinated, and professional response, adhering to established protocols.
* Collaborate with the Health and Safety Department on projects as directed, ensuring project compliance and quality while identifying improvement opportunities, including occupational health and hygiene, health programs, and administration of workers' compensation claims.
