Family Services Specialist Disability Worker

Full Time – 38 Hours Per Week | Fixed Term (12-monht contract)

Based in Mooropna

This is an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander designated position, classified under Section 12 Special Measures of the Equal Opportunity Act This employment opportunity is only available to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Rumbalara Aboriginal Co-operative (RAC) is a community-controlled organisation supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across the Goulburn Valley since 1980. With over 300 staff, RAC delivers holistic and culturally safe services across health, ageing, disability, justice, family, housing, and community. We are proud to play a leadership role in improving health and wellbeing outcomes for our people.

About the Role

You will bring:

* Qualifications or relevant experience in Disability, Community Services, or related fields.
* Strong knowledge of Aboriginal families' needs, including carers, and the ability to link them with supports.
* Proven ability to advocate for and communicate effectively with children, young people, and carers.
* Knowledge of the NDIS and experience engaging with Local Area Coordinators, Support Coordinators, and planners.
* Understanding of the family services sector and challenges faced by Aboriginal families living with disability.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

What We Offer:

Competitive pay and conditions based on the SCHADS Award – Level 4, Pay Point 1- 4 based on experience and qualifications.

Salary packaging of $15,900 available for Part- or Full-time employees.
