We're looking for a Chef de Partie to join the team at Southport Sharks on a full-time basis. Someone who has passion, flair and creativity to bring authentic Mexican dishes to life and be part of the opening team. What you'll be doing:
* Preparing and presenting vibrant, authentic Mexican dishes with consistency and flair
* Supporting the smooth running of your section while maintaining high food quality and standards
* Monitoring food quality, minimising wastage and ensuring compliance with HACCAP and food safety standards
* Assist with training and mentoring of upcoming chefs to help building a strong and talented team
* Contribute to a positive and motivated culture through clear communication and collaboration
* Promoting safe work practices and maintaining efficiency across the kitchen
* Keep up to date with current food trends
* Ability to independently manager the food offering, working with initiative and minimal supervision to ensure smooth operations.
To be successful in this role you would need to possess the following:
* Experience working in Mexican cuisine is essential
* Qualified with a minimum Cert IV in Commercial Cookery
* Food Safety Hygiene qualification
* Familiarity with the Food Safety Act and WHS legislation
* Time Management skills is a must
* A self-starter with the ability to work independently and confident under pressure
